Assessment: Whew, I had to look off the bottle to write the ingredients and I swore I just wrote a bag of gibberish lol. There's alot of unfamiliar words that most of us might not know towards the end of the ingredients. However, the reason I had to write it out was because ORS changed some of the ingredients, and other sites had the old formula.
My old bottle had petrolatum as the fourth ingredient, but the newly designed ORS bottle has it fifth now.

Anyways, it's been almost three years using this product, and I still very much love it. I've been using it before my hhj even started and it hasn't disappointed me yet. Its of a green-ish colour and very thick.
It has an olive oil-ish smell if that makes sense, it's not bad and it's not really sweet smelling. The smell doesn't really linger in my hair, but I personally don't mind the scent though.
I honestly believe that it does live up to its claims because my hair is very moisturized when using this. It also imparts a sheen in my hair, which keeps my hair looking healthy and more vibrant. However as a heat protectant, I'm not really sure because I've never used it before I've used hot tools, mostly because I don't use them anymore. And usually I would just use one of my leave-ins, in the event if I were to blow dry my hair. But after styling I do use this to moisturize my hair. It does not weigh down my hair either, because alot isn't needed to get my hair moisturized. However depending on your length or hair needs, it might vary. But my bottle usually last me for about 5 or 6 months. The fact that it has petrolatum doesn't really bother me because it does its job in moisturizing my hair. However, if looking for products I do tend to stay away from this ingredient, but it works really well on my hair so I won't really complain lol.
Pros:
Keeps hair moisturized (sometimes I don't even have to seal)
Adds sheen
Protects hair from heat
Affordable
Doesn't leave my hair feeling coated or greasy
Doesn't weigh down my hair
Cons:
The fact that it has in petrolatum may be a con for some us, but like I said it works really well on my hair.
All in all, its a very good moisturizer in my defense, and I totally recommend this purchase if you still haven't found a good moisturizer yet.
Have any of you guys tried this product?
I would love to try this product. I'm only scared because the last time I used a hair lotion on my hair it felt very hard and instead leaving it moisturized, it felt a little coarse. :(
