Hiyaa guys, 2014 is almost winding down and boy I never imagined my hair being like this. From my last post I mentioned my hairdresser issues and the cut and damage I received. Well after 11 weeks or almost 3 months nursing back my hair, I still have some more damage but I'll get more on that later down in the post.
I did relax my hair Monday with the Creme of Nature Straight from Eden Relaxer in Type B. Overall I really did like the relaxer. One thing I noted is that the usual relaxer smell that I would get when the relaxer is applied wasn't there. So there wasn't that over powering relaxer smell, like I had to sniff just to get a lil bit of the scent, but overall it wasn't really there....and my nose was grateful for that!
Seems like forever....but we've been so busy and caught up with school there was practically no time to post. And so I never got you guys up to date with my relaxer, which was maybe the worst relaxer I've ever gotten. Not to mention too that terrible hairdresser who applied the relaxer on.
I had relaxed at 13 weeks post, and I used the the relaxer that the hairdresser provided which was the Profectiv no lye relaxer. I had read a couple of reviews on it online and it didn't seem so bad, but when it was applied to my new growth it was like fireeee. I got no visible burns from the relaxer but it was burning me the entire process, and not to to mention it got my hair so straight and lifeless even after the roller set it had no body. I was not sure if she used the regular or super on me but it got it beyond straight that it looked unhealthy.

Day of relaxer |
Hey guys, sorry we've been away but school is just taking over our lives but anyway here's my relax update. I relaxed my hair on August 30. 2014 at 21 weeks post relaxer. I relaxed with the Optimum Multi Mineral reduced ph creme relaxer in regular. It was a good relax day but I regret not basing my scalp so I ended up with a slight relaxer burn. Also because the relaxer had to be rinsed out sooner I ended up not getting my new growth as straight as I like. I don't think I will be doing a corrective relaxer though. I am currently 3 weeks post relaxer.
Heyy people, this is part three of my short Edges Series and if you've missed parts one and two you can click here and here
So if you guys tuned in, you would've known already that I've lost my edges too. And let me say its probably one of the most embarrassing thing that can happen to a woman. Many ladies suffer from thinning edges, whether it be from postpartum shedding or tight braids/weaves. So I'll be sharing some good tips that has helped me, and can certainly help you if your looking to regrow your edges.
Hii guys, this was probably a really bad day for me to wash my hair. As you can tell from the titile, I did a wet wrap as my style but it wasn't what I planned at all. My hands and back were so tired from shopping, cause I had to go to the supermarket. And lil ole me thought I could manage the groceries by myself and walk home, but when I realize I couldn't it was too late to turn back and take a taxi. So I struggled home with the groceries and it was such a terrible walk, but never again!
Prepoo- I prepooed overnight with my Vo5 Moisture Milks Strawberry and Cream, along with my apple cider vinegar and oil mix (which comprises of African Pride Growth Oil and Tropic Isle Red Pimento Oil, and I added two drops of my rosemary essential oil).
