Hey girlies, On Friday I decided to wash my Senegalese Twists. Before I was on a hair journey I never cared to wash my hair while I wore twists so this is a bit new to me and I had to learn but I must say it was a successful wash day. So here's the process
[1] I shampooed my hair with the CON detangling conditioning shampoo green label. I did not dilute it I simply put it in my hands then distributed it on my scalp. I did this because I mainly wanted to wash my scalp and the run off would lightly cleanse the twists. Though this shampoo is not stripping I wanted my hair to retain as much moisture as possible.
[2] For conditioner I did a mixture of 1 tbsp Pearl Collection Avocado with Cholesterol Conditioning Treatment Cream, 1/4 Jheri Redding Natural Protein Conditioner, 3 tbsp TRESemmé Moisture Rich Conditioner and I added VO5 moisture milks Conditioner until the mixture was "liquidy" but not watery. I applied this to the length of my real hair then the remainder to the rest of the twists and let this sit for about 8-10 mins.
[3] I did not completely rinse out the conditioner because again to retain as much moisture as possible. I then T-shirt dried my hair for about 10 mins. I oiled my scalp with EVOO and JBCO. I applied Ginseng Miracle original Wonder 8 Oil Mist through out the hair then proceeded to blow dry. These are the times I wish I had a hooded dryer *sigh*. After blow drying I applied African Pride Olive Miracle Braid Sheen Spray to the length of my real hair then sprayed more Ginseng Miracle original Wonder 8 Oil Mist through out the hair.
Here are the results and the hair was left very shiny I am pleased
Very nice! And the twists still remained neat.
