Wash Day

Hiii everyone, this post is wayy overdue. I washed last week Tuesday but because of the busy week, Shauna and I were unable to post. But were back now on our routine :). My wash day was good, just worked on incorporating more protein in my hair since last day wash my hair felt overly moisturized. So let's get into it :)

[1] Prepoo- I prepooed overnight with Tresemme Remoisture Conditioner, apple cider vinegar and my oil mix (which comprises of African Pride Growth Oil & Tropic Isle Red Pimento Oil).

[2] Cleanse- I shampooed the next morning with the Mane n Tail Shampoo, which I'm becoming to love. It didn't leave my hair feeling stripped, but rather soft and moisturized. However this is my second time using it, so I'll give you guys a review after a few more washes.

[3] Reconstruct- I used my Aphogee 2 Minute Reconstructer, and can you say soffttttt lol. I love this reconstucter so much, it adds protein in my hair without leaving it hard. I applied it in sections and finger detangle, and washed it out in about 8 minutes.

[4] Deep Condition- I deep conditoned with my Vitale Mayonnaise and ORS Replenishing Conditioner with heat for 20 minutes. And my hair felt strengthened and gooood girlll ;)

[5] Leave- Ins- I applied some of the Aphogee Keratin and Green Tea Reconstructurizer in my hair for added strength. And I also sprayed some of my Creme Rinse setting lotion in my hair, but I diluted it with alot of water this time to cut down on the slip which I think was a culprit last wash for my weighed down hair.

[6] Style- I opted for a roller set again and I'm getting a lil better at it too. I took about the same time last wash since my new growth's been coming on. So I did spend a lil more time detangling each section so that it could come out smooth.

After I removed the Rollers ( you can also see my new growth peeping out at the edges)

Results- Overall it was a good wash, my hair feels a bit stronger but still a lil soft. I combed out some of my curls from the rollers with my fingers and wore it in a cute curly low ponytail, and I had some hair out at the front. I don't have any pics of it because I had to be rushing out the house, so I didn't get to snap a photo. However the style didn't really hold up cause of the wind and humidity. And they did not have any mercy on me lol.

After I brushed out the curls

When I got home though, I brushed out the curls so that my hair could be straight. And I enjoyed playing in it for about five minutes, cause afterwards I started to got hot again lol. I'm gonna continue though to reconstruct throughout the rest of my relaxer, because I really missed the benefits I got from my Aphogee.
My new growth is coming on as well, so my rollers do help to keep it stretched. However I've been itching to try out a braid out, so maybe I'll try it next wash day, who knows. I also didn't get to use the lime this wash, because I was a bit scared that my hair might have dried out since I was using more protein. But I totally wanna try it again, so if there any left in the fridge I'll surely use it next wash.

                                                                                 My hair wrapped

After I moisturized and sealed, I wrapped my hair and tied it with it down with my scarf and called it a day. Finally lol.

Shauna & I also decided to join Saving our Strands and Just Grow Already in the Wash Day Experience, so please go and check out the other ladies in the link up :D
